Feature
The test should be carried out at the ambient temperature of 20 ℃± 5 ℃. The battery connected with thermocouple (the contact of thermocouple is fixed on the large surface of battery) is placed in the fume hood, and a 2-8mm diameter stainless steel needle is used to pierce the center of the maximum surface of the battery at the speed of 10mm / s-40mm / s, and keep it for any time.
Applicable standards: MT/T 1051 SAE, QC/T473/744 and other test standards.
This is an economic nail penetration tester for all types of rechargeable batteries. The nail penetration is performed inside a safe and vented stainless-steel test chamber using a 2~8 mm diameter steel nail at variable speed from 10~100mm/s. There is a fixture to tighten various type cells, pouches or cylinders in the test chamber. It is an important tool for advanced research on the rechargeable battery.
